Pocket-sized junk journal with a lilac and gold marble cover design, hand-bound with mustard yellow thread, and tied off with a bookmark and glass bead detail.
Handmade using mixed materials. I source my junk journal pages from thrifted books, old magazines, various ephemera and scrapbook supplies. I don't like to destroy a book needlessly, so all book pages come from books that are already damaged or missing pages :-)
My straight(ish) edge junk journals are trimmed to 14 x 9 cm. In instances where the pages naturally fall shorter than this, I glue on contrasting pieces to bring the page up to a more uniform size, although occasionally, I may just really like a frayed edge, or otherwise feel strongly that the page should be left alone! (See pics for examples) They aren't perfectly straight, being, well, junk journals, but do offer a cleaner, neater look than the deckle edge or torn junk journals. Great for those who prefer their junk to stay within the confines of the notebook itself, or want to embellish their own edges.
